Before and after: this closet received a full refresh with drywall repairs and a complete paint update. A primer coat and two finish coats were professionally spray applied for a smooth, factory-like finish. The ceilings and walls were painted in White Sesame using Emerald flat finish, and the closet (built-ins and millwork) was painted in the same color with a satin finish for a clean and elegant look.

Project Overview

We brought the walk-in closet and adjacent laundry area from patched lavender walls and open ceiling work to one cohesive designer palette. Spray application on primer and topcoats levels the film and hides roller texture on the large wall and ceiling fields, while satin on the closet system reads slightly richer under the recessed lights.

Scope of Work

• Drywall repairs – Patched and smoothed walls and ceiling, including areas around new lighting and built-ins
• Prep & protection – Masking, sheeting, and floor protection for spray work
• Spray finish system – Primer plus two finish coats for an even, furniture-grade appearance
• Walls & ceiling – White Sesame in Sherwin-Williams Emerald Interior Acrylic Latex, flat finish
• Closet built-ins – Same White Sesame in satin finish on shelving, cabinets, and related millwork

The Result

The space reads bright, quiet, and high-end: flat surfaces minimize glare, satin millwork adds subtle contrast, and the monochromatic scheme ties the laundry machines and storage together.
